Male Genital Cutting

Opponents of the San Francisco Male Genital Mutilation Bill have filed a lawsuit against the city of San Francisco with the intent to have the bill removed from the November ballot. Should this attempt to stifle democracy succeed, it would unjustly silence the voices of the more than seven thousand San Franciscans whose signatures qualified this landmark ballot initiative.

The strategy of mass circumcision is an unethical and dangerous distraction in the battle against HIV and AIDS.
