20th Annual March/Demonstration Against Infant Circumcision - Washington DC

Stop Infant Circumcision Society will hold its 20th annual Genital Integrity Awareness Week demonstration during the anniversary of the Federal female genital mutilation law which took effect on March 30, 1997. The demonstration will be held to raise awareness that US lawmakers have failed to provide equal protection for male and intersex children. The demonstration also coincides with National Child Abuse Prevention Month which begins on April 1. In addition to the weeklong demonstration on the West lawn of the US Capitol, a march from the US Capitol to the White House is planned.
