Event Date: May 12, 2014 - 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Dr. Aaron Jesin, MD, who doubles as a mohel and a doctor, had admitted to performing the Jewish circumcision and penis blood-sucking ritual of metzizah b'peh on infants:‎.

An intactivist in Toronto has filed a complaint against Dr. Jesin, but the Ethics Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario dismissed the complaint against him.

Attorney John Geisheker, JD, LLM, who also serves as executive director of Doctors Opposing Circumcision will appeal this decision to the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board of Ontario. Counsellor Geisheker has most graciously agreed to take on the case pro bono. The hearing will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Board’s offices located at 151 Bloor Street West, 9th Floor, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

This is important as it will help raise awareness about circumcision and the dangers of the metzizah b'peh rite, which has been responsible for infecting at least a dozen babies with the herpes virus and causing at least two deaths in the New York City Area. The fact is that the metzizah b'peh is being freely practiced by Jewish communities in Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa, and in the name of religious freedom, authorities refuse to do anything about it. In any other situation, if an adult male were to suck on an infant's penis, he would be charged with sexual assault and face the justice system.

The fact of the matter is that any discussion about circumcision is a good opportunity for education.
